Robert S. Doochin

Robert S. Doochin was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned a B.S. in Finance from The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business in 1962. As the second generation to operate American Paper & Twine, Bob grew up working at the company under the leadership of his father, Nathan Doochin, who founded the business in 1926. After graduating from college in 1962, Bob came to work at American Paper in a full-time capacity, eventually becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in 1987.

Wm. David Morris

Originally from Oakdale, Tennessee, David Morris graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1972. Prior to working at American Paper & Twine, David was employed with KraftCPA's as a Certified Public Accountant and served as Director of Finance for the cities of Oak Ridge, TN and Marietta, GA. He has served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of American Paper for 25 years.

Mark Wright

Mark Wright was born and raised in Nashville, TN. In 1986, he graduated from Belmont University in Nashville and in that same year came to work at American Paper & Twine as a Sales Representative. As Senior Vice President, Mark oversees and manages the entire sales department and is heavily involved in operations, merchandising, vendor management and purchasing.

Karen Doochin Shaffer

Karen was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Karen grew up working summers at AP&T answering the switchboard and doing customer service work. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Georgia in 1992 and Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 1994. After working in the healthcare industry for 4 years, Karen came to work at American Paper & Twine Company. She currently has oversight for Human Resources, IT and Operations.

Chris Romito

Chris was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. In 1980 he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and shortly thereafter began working with Buster Brown Apparel and then on to a Chattanooga-based manufacturer and distributor. Overall, Chris has 23 years of management experience in the distribution of a wide range of product lines. He joined the American Paper & Twine team in 2000 as Branch Manager in Chattanooga.

Brad Walker

Brad, born in Jackson, TN, stayed in Memphis after graduating from State Technical Institute and the University of Memphis in 1993. After earning his degree, he took a position with Corporate Express where he stayed for over 21 years as an executive manager. In 2009, he joined the American Paper & Twine team as the Branch Manager in Memphis.

Brian Leitch

Brian was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. After earning an undergraduate business degree from Miami University, he began his professional career at Lucent Technologies as part of their Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP). While employed at Lucent, he earned a graduate degree in accounting and entrepreneurship from Babson College near Boston, MA. Shortly after attaining his graduate degree, Brian joined the management team at McMaster-Carr, where he spent the next eight years managing the company’s sales, marketing, and operations activities. Brian joined American Paper and Twine in 2011 and is currently the General Manager of our Knoxville facility.

Jonathan Ramsey

Jonathan was born and raised in Nashville, TN. In 1999 he graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After earning a BS degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he took a position on United States’ Senator Bill Frist’s staff in Washington, DC. Jonathan has worked for the Tennessee Bankers Association in Nashville and at Cumberland Materials where he was the manager of a building materials distribution center in Huntsville, AL.
