Dear AP&T Customer,

This letter is a follow up to the previous communication we sent regarding American Paper & Twine’s Atlanta location being consolidated into Imperial Dade’s Atlanta location. This transition will occur on Friday, December 9, 2022, with the first deliveries by Imperial Dade beginning on Monday, December 12, 2022. 

In preparation for the change, we want to provide you with details about what to expect and what you need to do. Below you will find an outline of what to expect before, during and after the transition. We have also provided answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

Our teams have been working hard to ensure this transition goes smoothly with limited disruption to business. Though you will now be serviced by Imperial Dade instead of American Paper & Twine, please know that the commitment to providing remarkable service remains the same!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AND WHEN?

Between now and December 9th

  • Existing AP&T customers have been set up in Imperial Dade’s system, so you do not need to set up a new account. Your account number will change, but you will have the same account details (such as terms, credit limit etc.) with Imperial Dade that you currently have with AP&T.

    You will need to set Imperial Dade up as a vendor in your system. We strongly recommend you set this up prior to December 9th. Below is the information you need to do so, along with the W9.

  • If you currently place orders on ShopAPT.com, starting on December 9th you will switch to ordering on Imperial Dade’s online ordering site. Your username remains the same, but a temporary password will be sent to you prior to December 9th with instructions on how to change it the first time you log in to Imperial Dade’s site. Be on the lookout for this email notification!

On Friday, December 9th

  • Friday, December 9th is when all systems will switch over from American Paper & Twine to Imperial Dade. If you place orders by phone, you may continue to use the same number. If you place orders by email, please use this new email address: cs_atlanta@imperialdade.com.
     
  • If you place orders on ShopAPT.com, when you log in there will be a link redirecting you to Imperial Dade’s online ordering site. You may also go to their site directly by using this link: https://auth.imperialdade.com/. Your username will be the same as what you used to log in to ShopAPT.com. A temporary password will be sent to you prior to December 9th with instructions on how to change it the first time you log in to Imperial Dade’s site. For more information about online ordering, please see the FAQs. 

Note: You will not be able to log in or place orders on Imperial Dade’s online ordering site until Friday, December 9th.

  • You will continue to communicate with the same Sales Representative and account support contact you were working with at American Paper & Twine. They are moving to Imperial Dade Atlanta as well, so you keep the same points of contact.
     
  • Any open orders you placed with AP&T that have not delivered on or before December 9th will be transferred to Imperial Dade to deliver starting on Monday, December 12th, or when product is available.
     
  • Any outstanding invoices for products delivered on or before December 9th should still be remitted to AP&T. Invoices for products delivered starting on Monday, December 12th, will come from Imperial Dade and should be remitted to them. See information in FAQs regarding making payments to Imperial Dade. 

On Monday, December 12th and Beyond

  • Your orders will be delivered as normal but will arrive on an Imperial Dade truck.
     
  • The documents you receive will look different as they will now come from Imperial Dade instead of American Paper & Twine. 
     
  • You will remit payment to Imperial Dade, instead of American Paper & Twine. See information in FAQs regarding making payments to Imperial Dade.

Who do I call with questions?

Will my Account Number remain the same?

How do I place orders online?

If you were previously placing orders on ShopAPT.com, when you log in to ShopAPT.com there will be a link redirecting you to Imperial Dade’s online ordering site. You may also go to the site directly by using this link: https://auth.imperialdade.com/. Your username will be the same as what you used to log in to ShopAPT.com. A temporary password will be sent to you prior to December 9th with instructions on how to change it the first time you log in to Imperial Dade’s site. 

Once logged in to Imperial Dade’s online ordering site, you will see a listing of your previously purchased items. The item numbers that you use to order will be different, but you will be able to see the AP&T item numbers on the Imperial Dade online ordering site as “Customer Item #.” If you need to add a new item, contact your Sales Representative for assistance. The items available to you will be based off Imperial Dade Atlanta’s product offering, so the selection may vary in certain categories. Please note that Imperial Dade does not offer office products.

Can I still access information on ShopAPT.com?

Yes, you can continue to log in to ShopAPT.com to see sales history, past invoices, and past PODs, but you will not be able to place orders. Starting on December 9th, you must place orders on Imperial Dade’s online ordering site.

What if I need to order something new?

You will not be able to shop for items outside of your purchase history on Imperial Dade’s online ordering site. If you need to order a product that you have not previously purchased, please contact your Sales Representative.

As you know, in December 2021, American Paper & Twine was acquired by Imperial Dade. Imperial Dade is the leading independently owned and operated distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies, and industrial packaging in North America with a national network of strategically located distribution centers. AP&T now operates as a division of Imperial Dade.

Being part of a larger organization provides an opportunity to find synergies where we can service customers more efficiently. One such synergy we plan to capitalize on is Imperial Dade’s larger facility in Atlanta. Instead of operating two facilities in the same area, the American Paper & Twine Atlanta location will be consolidating into the Imperial Dade Atlanta location. The benefits of this integration into a larger, upgraded facility means an expanded capacity to better service customers and be positioned for future growth. 

The transition to Imperial Dade’s Atlanta location will happen on December 12th, 2022. Following is the key information you need to know about what to expect and what action is required.

What does this change mean to you? The physical location from which your orders are serviced will change, but the level of service will not. Your sales representative remains the same, your customer service contact remains the same, and your access to a broad range of products at competitive pricing combined with remarkable service remains the same.

What do you need to do? Existing customers have already been setup in Imperial Dade’s system, so you do not need to set up a new account. You will have the same account details (such as terms, credit limit etc.) with Imperial Dade that you currently have with AP&T.

However, you will need to set Imperial Dade up as a vendor in your system. We recommend doing this as soon as possible to ensure a seamless transition. Please see the information below and the attached W-9 form that you will need to set Imperial Dade up as a vendor.

What else will change? Online ordering will be moving to a new platform. You will receive more details on Imperial Dade’s e-commerce system prior to the transition with instructions on what to do. Till then, continue to place orders on ShopAPT.com as you typically do.
